WYANDOTTE COUNTY —Detectives with the Kansas City, Kansas Police Department are investigating a shooting that has left one person dead.
Just after 5p.m. Friday officers were dispatched to a shooting at a residence in the area of N. 6th Street and Splitlog Avenue, according to a media release.
When officers arrived on scene, they discovered an adult male with an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced deceased on scene. The suspect was located and taken into custody. Police have not released the name of the victim or additional details.
