
SHAWNEE COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a suspect in connection with a violent weekend crime.
Just after 4:30p.m. Feb. 12, police received a service call from the Shawnee County Emergency Communication Center of a disturbance resulting in a possible stabbing in 100 Block SE Willow Way, in Topeka, according to Lt. Jerry Monasmith.
Officers located an adult victim suffering from minor injuries as a result of the incident. The suspect identified as 20-year-old Brian Weixelman Jr., was located at the scene and taken into custody without incident.
Officers determined through the investigation the two are known to each other.
As a result, Weixelman was transported to the Shawnee County Department of Corrections on requested charges of Aggravated Robbery, Aggravated Battery and Felony Theft, according to Monasmith.
