Sheriff IDs Kansas man who died in 2-vehicle crash

SEDGWICK COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities investigating a fatal crash have identified the victim as 65-year-old Carl C. Miller II of Hutchinson.

Just after 11:30a.m. Tuesday, a southbound Chevy van driven by a Miller struck an eastbound Jeep Commander driven by a 29-year-old woman at the  intersection of Kansas 15 and Meadowlark Boulevard, according to Sheriff's Lt. Benjamin Blick. 

 The driver of the Jeep was attempting a left turn when Miller's  van entered the intersection against a red light, according to Blick.

Miller was pronounced dead at the scene. EMS transported the driver of the Jeep to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Authorities have not released the driver's names.

SEDGWICK COUNTY—One person died in an accident just after 11:30a.m. Tuesday in Sedgwick County.
