Police: Suspect used stolen financial cards to buy $1,500 necklace

RILEY COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating alleged criminal use of a financial card and theft.

On Sunday, the Credit Union of America and Elliot Jewelers, 402 Poyntz in Manhattan reported an unknown suspect used stolen financial cards to purchase a gold Figaro style necklace, according to the Riley County Police Department activity report.

The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $1,558.00.

Police released no additional details Monday.
