A wayward bull succumbed to injuries suffered in a single-vehicle accident just after 2a.m. Wednesday north of Salina.
A 2011 Chrysler 300 driven by A 17-year-old Bennington boy was northbound in the 1900 block of N. Ohio Street when the car struck a "very large" black bull in the roadway, according to Saline County Undersheriff Brent Melander
The teen was not injured, however, the car sustained extensive damage and had to be towed.
The bull was believed to be an Angus, however, it had no tags or markings. Deputies checked the immediate area, but no one claimed the deceased bovine, Melander said.
