
SEDGWICK COUNTY —Law enforcement investigating a fatal crash and have made an arrest.
Just after 7p.m. October 17, police responded to a crash involving a sedan and a motorcycle at West 42nd Street South and South Seneca in Wichita, according to a media release. First responders located a 27-year-old motorcyclist, who was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Preliminary investigation indicates that the 61-year-old driver of a sedan was traveling north on Seneca and attempting to make a left turn onto 42nd Street. The motorcyclist was traveling south on Seneca when the sedan turned and struck him.
The Wichita Police Critical Accident Follow up Team was activated and AFU Detectives responded to the scene. Police arrested the sedan driver identified from county arrest records as Brian Adrian and booked him into jail on requested charges of Involuntary Manslaughter while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Alcohol is believed to have been a contributing factor in the crash, according to police.
Adrian remains in custody on a $200,000 bond, according to online jail records. This case will be presented to the District Attorney’s office for formal charges.
