KANSAS CITY—One person died in an accident just after 12:30a.m. Saturday in Kansas City.
According to KCPD Captain Jake Becchina, an orange Harley Davidson motorcycle was northbound on Chouteau Trafficway.
Just north of NE Russell Road, the Harley ran off the roadway to the right, traveling up and over the curb and striking a metal light pole.
The Harley operator was ejected off the motorcycle and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Police did not release his name as the accident is still under investigation.
This is fatality #9 compared to #20 at this time last year, according to Becchina.
