
BARTON COUNTY—Law enforcement are investigating vandalism to a school in rural Barton County.
Just after 5 p.m. on Thursday., the Barton County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to St. Anne's Catholic School in the rural Barton County community of Olmitz, located approximately 17 miles northwest of Great Bend, for a report of vandalism, according to Sheriff Brian Bellendir.


Deputies found the school had been broken into. Unknown persons entered the building causing extensive damage to the interior of the building and other property inside the building.

Authorities are working to determine the total cost of the damage.
