Million-dollar lottery ticket sold in Kansas remains unclaimed

The jackpot for the upcoming Mega Millions drawing has climbed to $1.35 billion with a cash option of $707.9 million, making it the second-highest Mega Millions jackpot of all time. The next Mega Millions drawing is Friday, with cutoff for entry at 8:59 p.m. central time. 

Mega Millions was last hit on October 14 in both Florida and California. It has been rolling for 25 consecutive draws, and has seen 68 winning tickets of $1 million or higher sold in that time, including one $1 million winner in Kansas. 

In the Tuesday, Jan. 10, Mega Millions drawing, one ticket in Kansas matched all five numbers but not the Mega Ball to win $1 million. The ticket was sold in Southeast Kansas and remains unclaimed at this time. The winning numbers in that drawing were 7 – 13 – 14 – 15 – 18 Mega Ball 9. 

The Southeast Kansas region includes the following counties: Chase, Lyon (southern half), Coffey, Anderson, Linn, Greenwood, Woodson, Allen, Bourbon, Elk, Wilson, Neosho, Crawford, Chautauqua, Montgomery, Labette, and Cherokee. 

Mega Millions draws every Tuesday and Friday, with tickets starting at $2 per play.
