Sheriff IDs Kan. man, woman who died weekend shooting

SEDGWICK COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a fatal shooting and have identified the victims as 42-year-old Nathan Brock and 41-year-old Trisha Benjamin.

Just before 5:30a.m. Saturday, sheriff's deputies were sent to a check shots call at the Englewood mobile home park located at 3201 E MacArthur in Wichita, according to Sheriff's Lt. Benjamin Blick.

While responding, deputies received information that a man and woman were inside the residence with apparent gunshot wounds.

When deputies arrived, they had to force entry to the home. Inside the home, they located Brock and Benjamin deceased, according to Blick.

Detectives are collecting evidence and conducting interviews to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
