SHAWNEE COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a suspect on multiple traffic charges following a vehicle pursuit early Friday.
Just after 2:15 a.m., a deputy sheriff attempted to stop a 1993 Oldsmobile Cutlass near NE Seward Avenue and NE Rice Road, according to Deputy Abigail Christian.
The vehicle refused to stop, turned off its lights and initiated a pursuit through northeast parts of the city of Topeka.
The deputy terminated the pursuit due to safety concerns. The vehicle was found in the back yard of a residence in the 1200 block of NE Kellam Avenue.
After a brief investigation, the deputy located the driver inside that residence and arrested Bryan A. Bostick, 27, of Topeka.
He faces charges of flee and elude, tag not assigned, no vehicle insurance, driving with a revoked license, and multiple other traffic related charges, according to Christian.
