
SHAWNEE COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating two suspects on multiple charges after an unusual traffic stop.
Just before 6 p.m. Sept. 15, a deputy conducted a traffic stop on a dark green 2004 GMC Envoy without a license plate in the 3900 block of NW Rochester Road, according to Deputy Abigail Christian.
During the investigation, it was discovered that the male passenger had a warrant for his arrest. The deputies with the assistance of a K9 Unit also located illegal narcotics in the vehicle.

Deputies arrested the driver, Latosha L. Mahkuk (32) of Mayetta, was booked her on requested charges of possession of methamphetamine and driving a vehicle without a license plate.
The passenger, Gino V. Vicchiullo (28) of Topeka, was booked into the Shawnee County Department of Corrections for a warrant out of the City of Topeka.
