The owners of Mind Sculpt Games had been in contact with other business owners since this incident occurred and investigators later learned that similar stores, not only in Kansas, but also throughout Missouri, Illinois, Oklahoma and Texas had been victims of similar incidents. Through further investigation, the additional cases also yielded information that connected the suspect to these surrounding incidents between  Sept. 21 and Oct. 14.

With assistance from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the Tulsa, Oklahoma PD, and the Van Alstyen, Texas PD, the suspect was identified as Nicholas Garrison, age 23.  It was determined that he was driving a Chevy Cruze.

This information led to Garrison being stopped in the red Chevy Cruze in Bedford, TX and placed under arrest for the multi-jurisdictional crime spree. Upon further investigation, numerous stolen property items of sports trading cards, rare merchandise and gaming items were located and recovered as evidence. All stolen property items were connected back to the multi-state investigation, with the total loss in damages and property stolen exceeding $200,000 combined among all of the stores involved.

The investigation is still ongoing. Anyone with any information in reference to this case is urged to contact the Great Bend Police Department at 620-793-4120 or Crime Stoppers at 620-792-1300.
