SEDGWICK COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating another homicide in Wichita.
Just before 1a.m. Sunday officers responded to a reported shooting in the 2000 block of E. 21st Street North, according to a media release. First responders located a 41-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the torso in a parking lot.
The victim, identified as Marcus D. McNealey, 41, of Wichita, was transported to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
The investigation remains active, and Wichita Police Homicide detectives are diligently following all available leads. Investigators believe members of the public may have information that could be critical to solving this case
"We are asking anyone who witnessed this incident or has information, no matter how small it may seem to come forward. Even the smallest detail could help investigators identify those responsible and bring justice to Mr. McNealey's family."
