Kansas felon jailed on new drug allegations

MANHATTAN— Law enforcement have a Kansas felon in custody in Manhattan on new allegations.

Just after 9:30p.m. Thursday, police arrested 42-year-old Benigno David Aquino Jr, 42, of Salina, in the 1000 block of S. Seth Child Road on a Riley County District Court warrant for possession of opiate/opium/narcotic or certain stimulant, failure to appear and use/possess with intent to use drug paraphernalia into the human body, according to the Riley County Police Department activity report.

This arrest stems from an original report filed in December 2025. Aquino Jr. is being held on an $8,000 bond. He has a previous drug possession conviction in 2022, according to the Kansas Department of Corrections.
