POTTAWATOMIE COUNTY—A Kansas man died just before 9a.m. Thursday in Pottawatomie County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2017 Ford Escape driven by Owen Richard Uhrmacher, 22, Shawnee, was southbound on Kansas 13 Highway one half mile east of 8020 Highway 13.
The Ford hydroplaned and crossed the center lane. A 2015 Nissan NV 2500 cargo van driven by Kirby, Jarrod Dell Kirby, 39, Westmorland, struck the Ford.
Uhrmache,r who was wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the KHP. Kirby was not injured.
