Kansas man led deputies on chase at 100mph

LYON COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a suspect following a high-speed chase in Lyon County.

Just after 2:30a.m. Dec. 6, sheriff's deputies attempted to stop a Dodge Challenger in the 600 Block of East South Avenue in Emporia, according to a media release.

The driver later identified as Mark A Grigsby, 38, of Leavenworth refused to stop led officers on a pursuit that reached speeds of more than 100 miles per hour.

The pursuit ended when Dodge was stopped in the 1300 block of Route 160.

Deputies took Grigsby into custody without further incident at the scene. He was booked  and remains in the Lyon County Jail in Emporia on requested charges of fleeing and eluding; reckless driving; and suspicion of driving under the influence.
