KANSAS CITY —A man critically injured in a motorcycle, boat-trailer crash on Independence Day has died.
Just after 12:30p.m. Tuesday, a man driving a Honda Valkyrie was westbound on Northeast Cookingham Drive at NE Reinking in Kansas City, according to Police Capitain Carsisle.
The man laid the motorcycle down, slid under and struck the right side of a trailer with a Sting Ray boat pulled by a Chevy Silverado that was turning from NE Cookingham onto NE Reinking.
EMS transported the motorcycle rider to an area hospital. The driver of the pickup and a passenger were not injured. Just after 3:30p.m. Tuesday, police reported the motorcyclist had died. Police have not released the name of the man who died.
