
MCPHERSON COUNTY—Law enforcement in McPherson are investigating a day care owner for alleged child abuse.
On September 11, Police arrested 50-year-old Kimberly Horn on requested charges of endangering a child, abuse of a child; knowingly cause great bodily harm/abuse head trauma and permit a dangerous animal to be at large, according to online jail records.
The following day, the Kansas Department of Health issued an emergency order of suspension for Kimberly Kay Horn Day Care Home, 705 Hunter Court in McPherson, according to the KDHE website.
Just before 6p.m. on September 12 she met the requirement of bond and was released from jail and charged with child abuse involving a child, according to court documents.
Horn's preliminary hearing was scheduled for Tuesday.
