The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) has completed review of the recent lab testing results conducted at Salina Central Mall following the hail storm damage in April.

According to KDHE, no asbestos was detected in the collected samples, and the mall has successfully met KDHE testing requirements, according to a media release from the Mall.

Because no asbestos hazard was identified through the sampling process, tenants and businesses may proceed with necessary cleaning and repair activities.

The following businesses will remain open because they have separate exterior entrances to their spaces:- Dunham’s Sports  - District Eat & Play  - Taylor’s Twirlers

In addition, Ross Dress for Less is expected to open once current renovations are complete. We sincerely appreciate the patience, understanding, and cooperation shown by our tenants, patrons, and the Salina community throughout this process.
