
SALINE COUNTY —One person was injured in an I-70 crash and fire just after 6p.m. Sunday in Saline County.
A black 2014 Hyundai driven by Lucas Burleson, 21, Abilene was eastbound on Interstate 70 just east of the Interstate 135 exit, according to Sheriff Roger Soldan.

The Hyundai rear-ended a gray 2009 Ford Escape driven by Theresa Bishop, 56 of Salina.
After impact, the Hyundai traveled off the road into a field and caught fire. Saline County Rural Fire District 5 quickly extinguished the fire. EMS transported Burleson to Salina Regional Health Center for a leg injury. according to Soldan. Bishop was not injured. There were no passengers in the vehicles. Burleson was cited for Following Too Close and Unsafe Speed, according to Soldan.
