Kan. sheriff's K9 unit found meth during traffic stop

OSAGE COUNTY –Law enforcement authorities are investigating a suspect on drug allegations.

Just after 4:30 p.m. June 12, an Osage County Sheriff’s K-9 unit conducted a traffic stop on U.S. 75 Highway for a traffic violation, according to Sheriff Chris Wells. During the stop, illegal narcotics were located.

The driver of the vehicle, James R. Wright, 59, of Topeka was taken into custody and transported to the Osage County Jail Facility on requested charges that include Possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia, Driving while license suspended, Illegal registration and for No insurance
