
SEDGWICK COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating an alleged aggravated robbery.
Just before 2p.m. Sunday, police were dispatched to a shooting in the 1400 block of South Seneca in Wichita, according to Officer Juan Rebolledo.
Upon arrival, officers located a 16-year-old victim with several gunshot wounds to his upper body. EMS transported him to an area hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. He also underwent surgery and was reported in stable condition.
Investigators determined the circumstances leading up to the shooting. It was not a random incident, according to Rebolledo. Police have not released the victim's name or additional details.
