
GREENE COUNTY, Mo. —The pilot of a small plane was forced to make an emergency landing Saturday in Missouri.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the aircraft made the "off-field landing on just before 1p.m. on U.S. 65 one and one half miles north of Interstate 44 near Springfield.
The pilot and one passenger were not injured. The mishap affected traffic for a short time until they plane was removed. The FAA and NTSB will investigate. The Patrol released no additional details.
