MEADE COUNTY —One person died in accident just after 10:30p.m. Wednesday in Meade County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2016 Kia Forte driven by Austin J. Wagoner, 37, Albuquerque, New Mexico, was westbound on U.S. 54 one mile east of Meade.
The vehicle crossed the center line and the eastbound lanes, traveled through the median, struck a culvert, vaulted over U.S. 160, rolled an unknown amount of times, vaulted again over a barbed wire fence and came to rest.
Wagoner was pronounced dead at the scene. He was properly restrained, according to the KHP.
