KANSAS CITY —Two people died in an accident just after 4:30a.m. Sunday in Kansas City, Missouri.
According to KCPD Officer Alayna Gonzalez , a silver Ford Focus and a black Chevrolet Tahoe were eastbound on 350 Highway. Just east of Westridge, the Chevrolet rear ended the Ford, redirecting both vehicles off the south side of the roadway, down the steep embankment and into the wooded tree line.
The unrestrained driver of the Ford was pronounced deceased at the scene. The unrestrained front seat passenger of the Ford was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries and was reported in critical condition.
The unrestrained rear seat passenger of the Ford was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries and was pronounced deceased by hospital staff shortly after arrival.
The unrestrained driver of the Chevrolet was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries and was in critical condition. This is fatality 41 and 42 compared to #44 at this time last year, according to Gonzalez.
