SEDGWICK COUNTY —Law enforcement are investigating a shooting that occurred Saturday night in Wichita.
Officers responded to the 400 block of South Vassar and found two male victims, ages 30 and 15, both suffering from gunshot wounds, according to Officer Kris Gupilan. EMS transported both to a local hospital where they remain in critical condition.
Investigators learned the 30-year-old homeowner went outside after seeing the 15-year-old rummaging through his vehicle. The 15-year-old then fired a weapon, striking the homeowner. The homeowner returned fire, hitting the 15-year-old.
This incident remains under active investigation.
