KANSAS CITY—Law enforcement authorities investigating a man's death have identified the victim as 46-year-old William S. Booker, according to KCPD Captain Jake Becchina.
Just after 6p.m. Saturday, police were dispatched to report of a dead body found at Front Street and N. Century Avenue.
First responders located the body of a man later identified as Booker who was unresponsive and appeared to be injured.
Officers rendered aid and called in EMS who declared him deceased. A subject of interest was taken into custody near the scene by responding officers for further investigation.
Detectives and crime scene investigators processed the scene for evidence and gathered more information to determine what led up to Booker being injured.
The cause and manner of death are currently under investigation and will be determined by the medical examiner.
