LEAVENWORTH COUNTY —A Kansas teen died in an accident just after 11a.m. Monday in Leavenworth County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2020 Toyota Camry driven by Caleb James Stricker, 17, Atchison, was northbound on U.S. 73 just south of Lowemont Road.
The Toyota traveled across the center line and struck a southbound 2014 Freightliner semi driven by Dustin Lee Anderson, 24, Williamsburg, head-on.
Stricker was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to First Call Morgue. Anderson was not transported for treatment of a minor injury. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
