CRAWFORD COUNTY —One person died in an accident just after 3a.m. Sunday in Crawford County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2001 Chrysler PT Cruiser driven by Ashley M. Rendon, 26, Parsons, was westbound on Kansas 126 four miles west of Pittsburg. The car traveled off the roadway into the south ditch, struck a culvert, rolled onto its top and caught on fire
Rendon was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to Derfelt Funeral Home. The KHP did not have seat belt usage details.
