Kansas man dies after Jeep overturns

BARBER COUNTY—A Kansas man died in an accident just before 9a.m. Friday in Barber County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2004 Jeep Wrangler driven by Stewart J. Ott, 30, Hazelton, was southbound on Bethel Road just north of Scott Canyon Road.

The Jeep traveled off the road to the east, rotated counter clockwise and overturned onto its top.

Ott was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to Lanmans Funeral Home. He was not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP.
