Suspect arrested for fatal fight outside Kansas bar

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Law enforcement authorities investigating a death that occurred on March 30 in Hutchinson have made an arrest.

Just after 1:30 a.m. March 30, officers with Hutchinson Police Department responded to the 400 block of West 2nd Avenue in Hutchinson for an unresponsive 53-year-old man from Hutchinson identified as Lawrence “Larry” Coleman.

Reno County EMS and Hutchinson Fire Department responded to treat  Coleman; however, he was pronounced deceased at the scene. During the investigation, detectives discovered Mr. Coleman had been involved in a fight prior to his death. On April 9th, 2024, David “Tate” Logan, 31 of Hutchinson, was arrested for Second Degree Murder.
