SHAWNEE COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities investigating a traffic stop incident have captured a suspect who fled after ramming a patrol vehicle.

On Friday, authorities located and arrested 33-year-old Clinton Douglas Peck in Kansas City, according to Deputy Abigail Christian.

Just after 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, a deputy conducted a traffic stop on a black Chevrolet pickup truck for a registration violation near SW 21st Street and SW Auburn Road, according to Christian.

During the traffic stop, the suspect reversed the pickup truck and struck the patrol vehicle before fleeing the scene. The suspect has been identified as 33-year-old Clinton Douglas Peck.

Authorities located and recovered the pickup truck, according to Christian. Peck has previous convictions for theft, robbery, identity theft, aggravated battery, criminal damage to property and for drugs, according to the Kansas Dept. of Corrections.
