After 2 weeks, KHP still working to ID victim in head-on crash

GREENWOOD COUNTY—The Kansas Highway Patrol continues working to identify the victim of a fatal accident that occurred just after 10p.m. August 4, in Greenwood County.

The patrol reported a vehicle was westbound on U.S 54 twenty miles east of U.S. 77. It crossed the center line and struck an eastbound semi head-on.

Due to the circumstances, authorities have been unable to identify the female victim from out of state, according to Trooper Brett Goins.  Authorities are waiting for the result of a DNA test to confirm her identification. The driver of the other vehicle was able to escape.
