
OSAGE COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating a southwest Kansas man on drug charges after a traffic stop in northeast Kansas.
On December 24, a sheriff’s deputy conducted a traffic stop near the K-31 South exit on Interstate 35 for a traffic violation, according to Sheriff Chris Wells.
During the stop, a K9 was deployed, and illegal narcotics were located.
The driver of the vehicle, Marcos A. Arteaga-Juarez, 32, of Garden City, was taken into custody and transported to the Osage County Jail Facility on suspicion of possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
