KANSAS CITY —A summer storm took the roof off an apartment building in Kansas City early Wednesday.
Just before 2a.m., the Kansas City Fire Department was dispatched to 115 NW Harlem Road where crews found the roof of the building had blown off and was in the south parking lot, according to KCFD Battalion Chief Riley Nolan.
Searches were performed throughout the structure. No injuries or structural damage was found early Wednesday, according to Riley. There were 38 units that affected and the Red Cross is assisting 61 occupants.
