
SEDGWICK COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating a shooting that critically injured a 16-year-old boy from Texas.
Just after 9:30 pm, Thursday, police were dispatched to a shooting call in the 2400 block of North Market Street in Wichita, according to Officer Juan Rebolledo.
First responders located the victim outside a home. He had several gunshot wounds to his upper body. EMS transported the 16- year-old victim to a local hospital with critical but non-life-threatening injuries.
Police released no additional details Friday afternoon.
