KANSAS CITY —A family pet is safe after found during a house fire in Kansas City, Missouri.
Just after 2:30p.m. Tuesday, crews responded to a house fire in the 8400 block of E 92nd Terrace in Kansas City Missouri, according to Battalion Chief Riley Nolan.
On arrival, crews reported light smoke showing from the front of a two-story residence. Interior operations were initiated, and companies found a fire in the kitchen area, which was quickly extinguished with a single hose line.
As searches of the structure were conducted, a dog was found in the basement. The rest of the search came back all clear. The fire was brought under control at 3:00 p.m. The dog did get out and is unharmed, according to Nolan. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
