Lightning caused Kansas house fire

JOHNSON COUNTY—Investigator say lightning caused a weekend fire at a Kansas home.

Just after 6:30p.m. Saturday, firefighters battled a house fire at 15620 S Downing Street in south Olathe, according to social media report from Olathe Fire Department.

When firefighters arrived they found the fire was in the attic. It took 18 minutes to control the blaze. There were no injuries reported. The damage to home was significant, according to the fire department. Officials did not release a damage estimate.  Lightning was blamed for three related incidents on Saturday, according to the fire deparatment.
