ELLSWORTH COUNTY—One person died in an accident just before 1:30p.m. Tuesday in Ellsworth County.
A motorcycle was eastbound on Kansas 140 Highway near the city of Ellsworth, according to the Ellsworth County Sheriff. The vehicle traveled off the road and struck the north-side ditch. The driver, who was wearing a helmet, was pronounced decease.
First Responders from the Kansas Highway Patrol, Ellsworth Police Department, Ellsworth County Sheriff's Office, Ellsworth County EMS, Ellsworth County Fire, and EagleMed / MedTrans Global Medical responded to this event. Authorities have not released the name of the motorcyclist or additional details.
