HARVEY COUNTY—The Kansas Highway Patrol has identified the woman who died in a pedestrian accident just before 10:30p.m. Saturday in Harvey County.
According to the Patrol, Aubrie-Li C. Lakey, 22, Newton, was walking north in the southbound lanes of Interstate 135 just south of East First Street.
A southbound 2004 Dodge Durango driven by Aaron K. Dietz, 46, Wichita, struck Lakey. She was pronounced dead at the scene and was transported to the Sedgwick County Regional Forensic Science Center. Dietz and two passengers in the SUV were properly restrained and not injured, according to the KHP.
