
JACKSON COUNTY—Law enforcement are investigating a suspect on drug allegations.
Just before 3a.m. June 7, a Jackson County Sheriff’s deputy conducted a traffic stop on a Ford F-150 pickup for an alleged traffic violation on U.S. Highway 75 near 110th Road, according to Sheriff Tim Morse.
The driver, Michael Moore, 59, of Hoyt, was arrested and booked into the Jackson County Jail on requested charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Moore has previous convictions for burglary, theft and aggravated battery, according to the Kansas Department of Corrections.
