KANSAS CITY —Law enforcement are investigating another homicide in Kansas City.
Just after 08:30a.m. Thursday, police were dispatched to report of a shooting at Truman and Cleveland, according to KCPD Captain Jake Becchina.
On arrival officers located a vehicle that appeared to have gunshot damage that had come to rest at that location. Inside that vehicle was an adult male shooting victim who was unresponsive.
EMS responded and declared the victim deceased at the scene.Homicide Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators are at the scene now.
Preliminary investigation indicates the victim was the lone occupant inside the vehicle as it was traveling westbound, when gunfire came from outside the vehicle to the inside, striking the victim.
There is not any available suspect information at this time, and no one is in custody. Police have not released the name of the victim.
