TOPEKA – The Powerball jackpot is now at $635 million, with a cash option of $450 million, ahead of Saturday’s drawing after it was raised from $620 million on Friday morning.
This is the sixth largest jackpot in the history of the game and the ninth largest jackpot in U.S. lottery history. The Powerball jackpot has been on a roll since early summer when it was last hit in Florida on June 5, 2021. This is the largest the Powerball jackpot has been since it was hit at $731.1 million in Maryland.
Powerball was a lucky game in Kansas in September, with three Kansas Lottery players matching four numbers and the Powerball to win $50,000.
Powerball tickets start at $2. There are nine ways to win, and by adding the Power Play multiplier for an additional $1, you can multiply your win up to 10 times, except for the jackpot. The deadline to buy a Powerball ticket is 8:59 p.m. Central Time on draw days.
