KANSAS CITY—A Kansas City teen is facing  charges in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred last month in Kansas City.

Jquan Styles-Olden, 18,  faces 2nd Degree Murder and Armed Criminal Action, according to the Jackson County Prosecutor's office.

According to court records, Kansas City police responded to a shooting on April 24, outside a convenience store and located a male victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds inside a red Chevrolet Silverado. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Surveillance footage captured a red Pontiac vehicle leaving a nearby business and entering the parking lot of the convenience store. The driver of the vehicle, later identified as Olden exited the vehicle, entered the store, and made a purchase.

While Olden was inside the store, the victim backed his vehicle into a parking spot near the entrance of the store. Olden exited the store and walked past the back of the victim’s Chevrolet. As Olden walked past the driver’s side of the Chevrolet, he pulled out a firearm and fired into the victim’s vehicle, then fled on foot.
