RENO COUNTY— Hutchinson fire crews were kept busy with two more fires Wednesday afternoon after a fire at a home they battled early Wednesday, according to Fire Chief Steven Beer.

Just before  12:30 p.m. as crews responded to 315 William Street in Hutchinson and found a 20 x 25 detached garage, fully involved. The initial fire attack operations were hampered due to explosions from stored fireworks and structural instability of the building. The fire was brought under control just before 1p.m.. No occupant or firefighter injuries were reported.

While crews were clearing up that fire, another fire crew was dispatched to fire at a home at 322 E. Osborne Street in Hutchinson.

Search and Rescue efforts confirmed the structure was unoccupied at the time of the fire. The fire was brought under control in about 30-minutes.. The resident of the structure was displaced and is receiving assistance from the American Red Cross. Both fires are still under investigation.

This is the fifth fire in Hutchinson in the past three days
