SEDGWICK COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities investigating a body found in rural Sedgwick County identified the victim as Karlie S. Bidwell, 26, of Fort Scott, Kansas, according to Sheriff's Lt. Benjamin Blick.
Preliminary indications suggest Karlie Bidwell’s death was the result of a drug overdose. Official cause and manner of death will be determined by the Coroner’s Office at a later date, according to Blick.
Just after 7a.m. Thursday, a citizen discovered Bidwell in the roadway at 9200 E 69th Street North, northeast of Wichita.
Sheriff and Fire personnel responded to the scene to assess the 26-year-old woman. Shortly after arriving, fire personnel pronounced her deceased.
