TOPEKA – Dr. Lee Norman, Secretary of the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) held a press briefing Wednesday on COVID-19.

Among the topics, he discussed the upcoming flu season and the importance of getting a flu shot shot.

The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Kansas increased by 1,244 to a total of 63,952 the state health department reported Wednesday afternoon. 

Coronavirus deaths were reported at 723, an increase of 17.
