
KANSAS CITY—Law enforcement are investigating an altercation that sent a paramedic to the hospital in Kansas City.
Just before 10a.m. Friday, a Kansas City Fire Departmnt paramedic received a minor injury after an altercation in the back of an ambulance, while transporting a patient to the hospital, according to Battalion Chief Riley Nolan.
This led to a "crew emergency" being called and the response of additional Kansas City Police and KC Fire Department resources.
A second ambulance arrived on scene to transport the original patient to the hospital for their initial complaint. The KCFD paramedic was transported to the hospital to be evaluated for their injury. Authorities released no additional details.
