New York driver jailed in Kansas on drug allegations after chase

 JACKSON COUNTY—Law enforcement are investigating two suspects on drug allegations.

Just after 4p.m. December 30, a sheriff's deputy attempted to stop a 2011 Hyundai Genesis after it allegedly failed to yield to a law enforcement vehicle nears 126th and U.S. 75 Hwy, according to Sheriff Tim Morse. A pursuit ensued northbound on U.S. 75.

Deputies were able to stop the vehicle just south of 150th on 75 Hwy.

The driver, Ismail Rafie, 31, of Brooklyn, New York, was arrested and booked into the Jackson County Jail on requested charges of fleeing and eluding law enforcement, possession of a hallucinogenic drug and drug paraphernalia.

The passenger, Amir Bachouche, 27, of Arlington, Texas was arrested and booked into the Jackson County Jail on a requested charge of possession of a hallucinogenic drug and drug paraphernalia.
